JANUARY 2010 GENERAL MEETING MINUTES

President, Todd Jennings welcomed and wished everyone a Happy New Year.

CLUB BUSINESS & INFORMATION:

• George Shurter gave his monthly Treasurer's Report.
• Dave Badolato gave Jingle Jog Wrap-up Report – 215 Registered & 187 finished.
• Valerie Kilcoin, new Membership Director will give first report @ Feb. meeting.
• Patty Insignares , stated editorial deadline for next issue is 2/1/10 . This is the last planned full paper issue. Several club members expressed an interest in continuing the paper copy of Gazette. Ideas were tossed around on how to handle paper copies & electronic copies to make it more cost effective. The topic of Gazette on-line for visitors was also discussed. Send Valerie your e-mail address to vkilcoin@yahoo.com .
• Stan Golberg motioned to elect all nominees by acclamation. Bob Waterman & Dave Badolato 2 nd & 3 rd the motion. The 2010 Board Members are as follows: Todd Jennings – President, Frank Foremny – VP, Bill Schneider – VP, Dave Madden – VP, George Shurter – Treasurer, Joann Nowak – Secretary
• Next order deadline for Club clothing is Jan. 24 th . Contact Joanne Shurter .
• Thanks to the hard work of Brian Rivenburgh , our club tent (10 X 15) will be up at Winter Series Race #2.
• Club members are encouraged to contact Todd or Joann with any Club Speaker ideas.

UPCOMING EVENTS:

• ORC Winter Series 2010 (dates – Jan. 10 th , 24 th and Feb. 7 th , 21 st ) There will be a special dedication to Herb Waterman following Race #1. ORC will honor Herb with a plaque, cake and renaming the Winter Series to “The Herby Waterman ORC 5K Winter Series”. Be sure to attend the dedication.
• Celebrate Life Half Marathon – Sunday, March 14 th @10 AM – first practice run is Sat., 1/16 @ 9 AM – meet at The Lodge at Rock Hill .
• 2009 Grand Prix Luncheon – Sun., 1/24 immediately following Winter Series #2 at American Legion. 2010 Members will need to do 9 of the 16 races. Two new races to look for: Delaware River Run – May & Cornwall Fall Harvest 7.5 mi. race – Nov. They will be replacing the Ellenville Run Like The Wind & Warwick Labor Day 5K. This year the Grand Prix will be offering Women sized shirts.
• Social Events/Promotions Director, Amy Wapshare gave preliminary details of ORC's Winter Beach Party – Sat., 2/13 @ Mabel Moran's in Monroe , NY @ 6pm –buffet approx. $20/person – more details to follow in a club e-mail.
• Wurtsboro 30K – Sat., 3/27.
• HV15K will be Sun., 4/11.
• Inter-Club Challenge hosted by the SS – 4/18 at Emerald Green-Rock Hill-11am.

SHOUT OUTS:

• The following members were recognized for the efforts throughout 2009: Patty Insignares , Phil Melillo , George Realmuto , Dave Badolato , Herb Waterman, Bill Schneider, Kathleen Rifkin, Steve Holmbraker , Stan Golberg , Bob Waterman & Steve Brocket.

Next month's Gen. Meeting will be Wed, 2/3 @ Old Erie Pub & Grille. Dinner at 7 PM and meeting at 7:30 . Meeting was adjourned at 8:45 PM .
