MAY 2010 GENERAL MEETING MINUTES

DATE & TIME: May 12, 2010 at 7 PM

LOCATION: OLD ERIE PUB & GRILL – MIDDLETOWN , NY

Club President, Todd Jennings , greeted all in attendance.

CLUB BUSINESS & INFORMATION:

• Treasurer, George Shurter , gave his monthly Treasurer's Report.
• Track Coach, Bill Schneider announced attendance has been up at the weekly track work outs. Numbers have been ranging between 30 – 35 members.
• Membership is now at 255. All unpaid members have now been dropped.
• Club Challenge results are as follows:

Sullivan Striders - 1 st Place - 261 pts.
ORC - 2 nd Place - 182 pts.
Rockland RR - 3 rd Place - 30 pts.

ORC will host the 10 th annual Interclub Challenge next year.

• ORC 30 th Anniversary – Looking into planning a run/hash picnic. An event coordinator/director is needed!
• Sweat Gazzette will be running a week or two late.

UPCOMING EVENTS:

• Classic 10K – 6/13/10 – Volunteers are needed to sign up new members, etc at our ORC table. Please contact Valerie Kilcoin , vkilcoin@yahoo.com or Todd Jennings , todjen@optonline.net if interested.
• ORC Walk Party 7/17/10 – Volunteers needed, please contact Carolyn Negrycz & Joe Marchesano .

• Catskill Mountain Relay 8/8/10

SHOUT OUTS/MEMBER ANNOUNCEMENTS:

• On behalf of the Waterman Family, Bob Waterman expressed their deep appreciation and thanks for the tremendous show of support from the running community.

GUEST SPEAKER:

• Warwick High School Track Coach, Mike Potter. Coach Potter and members of his 2010 Boys 4 x 800 team spoke about their tremendous win at The Penn Relays.

Meeting was adjourned at 9:15 PM . Next month's meeting will be Wednesday, June 9 at Old Erie Pub & Grill in Middletown , NY . Food at 7 PM and meeting at 7:30 PM .
