The Jingle Jog race started off simply as a holiday season fun run. Through the years it became popular and also more competitive not only as the final race of the Orange Runners Club season but also as part of the Grand Prix race series.
Although the Jingle Jog has been held in several different locations around the area, the race never fails to get us into the season's holiday spirit during the hectic end of the year activites.
For the last 10 years or so, the race has been held in Middletown NY, at the Elks Club venue near the YMCA. If you would like to practice the Jingle Jog course, including that mile two hill, you can meet-up with the Tuesday Group Run people who cover it.
Why come out to run the Jingle Jog? Simple. To enjoy sharing the holiday season with our running buddies, benefit local children and pets, and also to get those last points for your Grand Prix score as the season and year close out.
Wishing you all the best, and to be light on your feet, and warm in your hearts. ... Jingle on. |
